2004 Back to School Child Shopping Spree Held

Mervyn's Child Shopping Spree '04

As a Denison Jaycee, the words "Back-to-School" means making a number of
less fortunate elementary schoolchildren very happy. The
 Back-to-School project is an opportunity to make a child's eyes light up

and give him or her a day of special memories.

Mervyn's provides $100 for each of 20 kids to spend at their store on

the August 14 date. The Denison Jaycees have raised thru many projects

additional 90 children at $100 each.

That is 110 children that were able to have new clothes for start of the school year.

If you would like to donate for this project 100% of your money will be used

for the project.  Write on your check donation shopping Spree and mail to

With the help of the community and other Foundations we hosted over 214 young children from Denison at a shopping spree for Christmas at Wal-mart Sat 14 10am-12 & Sun 7am-9am
